2015 Alfa Romeo Giulia

Italian car maker Alfa Romeo is working upon a fresh line-up to compete with BMW, and the first advanced model to see the world is the BMW 3 Series’ rival 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulia. Its premiere will be celebrated in June 2015.

Designed on a totally new platform, the sedan will become the descendant of Alfa’s 159 model. The brand-new Italian automotive creation will receive exclusive alloy wheels, a vented hood, heavy front bumper and rear door with concealed handles. According to advance information, the cheapest 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulia model will cost €60,000.

No official information was unveiled regarding the engine range. Chances are the car will come with the 1.4 l MultiAir (120 hp), an upgraded 1.75-liter 4-cylinder engine and a new variant of the V6 Pentastar (presumably, USA only). Also, the engine palette will include Fiat Turbo motors. The top-end Alfa Romeo Giulia with a Maserati-typical 3-liter V6 Twin Turbo is designed as a competitor of the BMW M3. Coupled with an automated transmission, the power unit will develop 480-520 hp, with the vehicle reaching the 100 km/h mark in 4 sec.

When brought to market, the new 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan is expected to become the company’s trump card and best-selling model in the US. Earlier, in November and December 2014, the 4C model of Alfa Romeo entered the American market, but only 91 cars were sold. The company sets hope on the new sedan believing it will be able to improve the said awful sale results.
