BMW 7 Series 2015

With the BMW 7 Series 2015, the Bavarian concern intends to return their Roland for the Oliver of Daimler AG – the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Mass production of the 6th generation flagship sedan will start in 2015.

According to the spy photos, the design of the car obeys the new family style of BMW and features chrome strips all round the body and extended headlights that recline against the kidney grill. Generally, there is nothing revolutionary about the exterior of the BMW 7 Series 2015. As for the interior, you might even think that its main features were borrowed from the previous generation of Bavarian sedans. In this context, the new 2015 BMW 7 Series is clearly inferior to its main rival – Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which has been freshened up both outside and inside.

Technical characteristics of the BMW 7 Series 2015 are not yet known, but some information has leaked out. The car will get its weight down by about 200 kg, receive laser headlights, touch screen displays for the driver and front passenger, an autopilot stop-and-go technology and a line-up of 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbo engines. The entry-level BMW 7 Series 2015 model will feature a 260 hp petrol motor, while the two other versions are expected to boast a V6 unit of 330 hp and a V8 of 460 hp. The Bavarians also do not plan to abandon the 12-cylinder engine.

The diesel BMW 7 Series 2015 will have a 275 hp turbo under the hood, and the hybrid will sport a total of 400 hp.
