Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2015

The off-highway estate car Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2015 will enter the car market in the second half of 2015. In Great Britain the first Volkswagen cars with the 4-wheel drive option, increased ground clearance and special off-road bodywork will be sold to customers in July. The world premier of the “crossover” is expected to occur at the Geneva Car Show in March.

The idea of rough-terrain family vehicles obviously appeals to Volkswagen AG. Little detail has been unveiled about the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2015, and the motorists’ considerations of its characteristics are based on what we know about the first generation, original Passat Alltrack. A look back at the previous model allows to assume: the future Alltrack will receive at least a 20 mm enlargement of the clearance (the current model has 30 mm), a restrained plastic body kit with rear and front protective inserts, and the all-wheel drive.

However, the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2015 models designed for the European market will sport a front drive option and 2.0-liter turbo diesel motor. Non-European markets will be offered a powerful 220 hp petrol engine with turbocharger and a semi-automatic transmission, which together allow the vehicle to reach the 100 km/h mark in 7.7 sec.

The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2015 is presented as a vehicle of the upper segment, so even the basic version will receive good-sized alloy wheels, many equipment items and expensive inner trim and accessories.
